Tips & gotchas

  • Kuhli loaches are schooling — minimum 5, otherwise they hide forever.
  • Male gouramis can clash. Either one male with females, or all females.
  • Don't confuse Trichogaster trichopterus (blue gourami, aggressive) with honey gourami.
  • Tannins from catappa leaves bring out the fish colours.
