Description

One of the most popular species in the Apistogramma genus. Males sport a pointed 'spear' tail. Demands softer water than the cockatoo.

Care

Soft acidic water (pH ≤6.5). Hides, dark substrate.

Feeding

Frozen or live food. Rarely accepts dry pellets.
