Description

Aulonocara — the brightest Malawi cichlids. Males come in blue, orange, yellow. Less aggressive than mbuna, work as a group.

Care

Hard alkaline water pH 8.0–8.6, kH 8–15. Sand substrate, rock piles. 200 L minimum, 300+ for a harem.

Feeding

In nature, sift sand for invertebrates. In tanks: bloodworm, brine shrimp, dedicated Malawi pellets. Avoid tubifex — risk of disease.

Можно ли смешивать аулонокар с мбуна?
Не рекомендуется: мбуна агрессивнее и быстрее, аулонокары проигрывают конкуренцию за корм. Лучше — отдельный аквариум с другими Хапами и Аулонокарами.
