Description
Silver dollar — large schooling fish, piranha cousin, but strict vegetarian. Will eat any plant — keep with artificial plants only.
Care
Long 250+ L tank, strong filtration. School of 5 minimum. Driftwood and rocks ok; only plastic plants.
Feeding
Herbivore: spirulina tablets, blanched zucchini and spinach, green flakes. A few times weekly — bloodworm for variety.

- Can silver dollars live with cichlids?
- With large peaceful ones (blood parrot, severum) yes. With aggressive Malawi cichlids no — silver dollars are skittish and stress invites disease.
